The Creek is one of the Indian varieties of pecan tree that was released by the U.S.D.A. It produces oval shaped nuts that are long and narrow. The Creek is very precocious and will bear large harvests early in its life. The Creek pecan tree is low maintenance due to its improved resistance to diseases like pecan scab. Creek should be cross-pollinated with a Type II pecan tree such as the Forkert, Elliot or Caddo. More information about planting and growing pecan trees is available from Bass.
